PLANTNURSE

Plantnurse is a Chitosan formulated product with targeted trace elements. Chitosan is a biopolymer, a natural polysaccharide extracted from the shells of crustaceans and insects. It is produced commercially by deacetylation of chitin. Chitosan has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties that provide broad-spectrum suppression and control toward a variety of plant pathogenic fungi and disease-causing microbes. It is effective against Fusarium, Phytophthora, rots, moulds and other crop pathogens and diseases. It works equally well against soil-borne and foliar-borne fungal plant pathogens.

MICROBIAL ENHANCED FERTILIZER

  • Negatively charged phospholipids of fungal cell membrane interacts with positively charged chitosan molecules.
  • Chitosan passes through the phospholipid barrier, leading to membrane destruction.
  • Fungal cells undergo cell death. (based on Verlee et al. 2017)
